Moreover, refer to the thesis of Toni Sellas , The voice of Web 2.0. Analysis of the context, challenges and opportunities of podcasting in the context of acoustic communication is available in pdf through Doctoral Theses in Xarxa. One of the conclusions of this work is that "podcasting is a change in the acoustic communication scenario in which the radio loses the exclusive."
Toni explains that "this thesis is a conceptual study of podcasting, an analysis of its present and its potential in the context of acoustic communication. It is divided into two parts. The first is an exposition of the sociological and technological context in which podcasting was born and a description of the object of study, which is a very recent phenomenon born in late 2004 in the United States. The second part consists of an analysis of the use of podcasting by the traditional media, an examination of thematic universe of podcasting and a figure study of independent podcasters. "
