Miguel Hernández: Impressions and memories.

Miguel Hernández
On October 30 the centenary of the birth of the poet Miguel Hernández. That is the reason that throughout the year 2010 have been going different tributes to the poet of Orihuela throughout our geography. We also have wanted to overlook this celebration and we have prepared our own tribute.

With the hall filled, as he deserved the chance, high school students sang and recited poems for their peers Miguel Hernández, accompanied by the voices and guitars of Jose Arroyo and Juan Antonio Verdi, teachers center. A moving and intimate act, once again, fills us with pride and satisfaction and worth all the effort.

Jose Arroyo, host of the event, also wanted her to leave us here impressions and memories of Miguel Hernández.

Miguel Hernández: impressions and memories.
By Jose Arroyo, a professor of Literature at IES La Caleta

the mid-seventies of last century, when I was a young student of COU, I got to know the poet's work Orihuela. I walked up to her, as I have been to many other important things in my life, my love of singing. I was a fan, I still am a singer- Catalan Joan Manuel Serrat called, whose career seemed commendable human and that I was dazzled with two discs: one of 1969 dedicated to the poet Antonio Machado, and another entitled Mediterranean.

Although a good reader, was not the genre of poetry more attraction exerted on me. At that time, I had read some of the work of Don Antonio - not in vain, albeit superficial, it was common object of study in class - but not his poetry definitely caught me until I heard the album mentioned. Hernandez's case was different: I had never spoken, or in class or any other place, the figure of Miguel.

Serrat Hearing the disc - and chanting, "I began to recognize the voice honest and caring, love and hurt the young poet. Poet who sings for the freedom of man, to declare their feelings of love, to express sorrow for the suffering of the child, to mourn the loss of friend or denounce the miserable existence of the child who works as a beast. And her voice always sounds sincere, firm and powerful.

So I got closer to his books and his life. I knew the poems of Perito en lunas, of The ray does not stop, of wind people and Song and Ballad of absences. course, not everyone liked me, nor all the same size. Some have been printed for good, honest, in my memory, others fragmented. But in all, even those who do not like, I recognize the personal voice of Hernandez and his strong attachment to nature, to earth. Therefore, also never forget those words that gave him his friend and master Pablo Neruda and I portray his figure and his poetry as a snapshot, " With that face Miguel potato has just taken of the earth."

Literary Contest Awards II "The Cove also reads"

Although we have some time without reporting on this blog of the activities of the Library of IES La Caleta is not to say it has not been produced or that have stopped working, all otherwise. Here we are, once again, with renewed spirits, with the same enthusiasm and excitement, and with some new additions to the team from our library. So we are continuing to blog today and we will not stop.

The first satisfaction that we get has been the publication of the winning stories in our II Literary Contest. It is, as can not be otherwise by the resources of a small school like ours, a modest but worthy publication, made with great effort and enthusiasm and, above all, willing to make known the talent of these young writers today present.

In the foreword to this edition, José Manuel Benítez Ariza us explaining that these literary creations

is written to understand the world and to understand each one, and need to write to achieve these two things because, without writing it ordered and fixed, the thought often becomes entangled in its own intricacies and not getting anywhere [...]

Although this is not the case of young writers gathered here. Among his writings is a poem torn, a real cry of pain and indignation, is an ironic story in which a vampire first-person account of their intimacy, there is a serious attempt to penetrate the mind of an abuser of women, there is a documented semblance of a major figure in the struggle for effective extension of human rights. After writing these texts, their authors know better the world and themselves. And they have helped to extend this knowledge so hard won others. You have to applaud them for it. And encourage them to persist.

course we joined the well-deserved applause and work and on the publication of the winning stories in the Literary Contest III. Library of Caleta you can find this issue and enjoy reading these stories, as well as those who were winners in the first edition. Both of those, though short, has been distributed between different sites of the city and the province, so it is also possible to find in their libraries.

New rhymes Gustavo Adolfo Becquer, "Don Fulano de Tal".

Biographers of Gustavo Adolfo Becquer agree that the poet spent his Seville worst of times around the year 1868. The riots of the 1868 revolution-era forced him censor of novels through the intermediary of his friend Gonzalez Bravo, politician and poet, to retire to Toledo, and also disappeared in the mayhem his book of poems and found his wife's infidelity, Casta. Around that time, the poet malvivía through translations he did for Gaspar y Roig publisher.

Several of these translations, neglected by scholars of the poet has found Augustine Porras (Antequera, Málaga, 1957) a series of poems which he attributes to Gustavo Adolfo Becquer. Account Porras-author of a biography of the poet published in Seville in 2006 by Aeneid, who for several years has been gathering all editions of Gaspar y Roig has been found in bookstores, and especially through the Internet. Their hope was to find some of the translations of which has been reported. Illustrations found in those books signed by VB or VDB, an acronym for Valeriano Valeriano Becquer or Dominguez Becquer, brother of the poet.

Several of these books have a curious signature associated with the translation: Don F. T. The initials, Porras said, he drew attention, "I did not find any contemporary writer ever to our poet whose full name coincide with them." Porras is convinced that behind those initials is Gustavo Adolfo Becquer and, more importantly, that the poet used to write their translations own poems. "Becquer change the structure of the verses, which are full concordance with the rhymes. Are also many images of Becquer; words used instead of threshold threshold, an error already in other texts, or as an atom. In these translations is the universe of Becquer. "

Lost in 1868

are thirteen poems that qualifies as new rhymes Porras. They appear in a book by Eduardo Laboulaye - "a French author who was then very popular, but now only be known" - "Abdallah or four-leaf clover (Arabic story) followed by Aziz and Aziza (Tale of The Thousand and One Nights). "

In the turmoil of the revolution of 1868, "La Gloriosa" had lost the poems written by Becquer. They had been submitted for publication Gonzalez Bravo and disappeared in the assault on his office. The poet from Seville, memory, tried to rebuild their texts in "The Book of Sparrows", the manuscript is in the National Library. "It is not known if the translations are older or not the new deed of his verses," says Augustine Porras, although the date, he adds, is likely to be parallel in time.

Says Becquer scholar, "a romantic who arrived late Romanticism ', he is a taciturn and depressed, when he should be, he says," a normal man, even met his wife in the consultation with a doctor of venereal diseases. Don F. T., the pseudonym under which lies the poet stands, according to Porras, Don Fulano de Tal. "It was common to use this formula to hide the name, if, for example, someone wanted to file a complaint against a neighbor without his knowing its origin. In that translation, the mood of Becquer went further and signed Don F. T. and C, which means Don So and so and so. "

Porras outlines several conjectures as to why Bécquer would not associate his name with the translations. "Perhaps he considered a minor work, purely for survival, and so ashamed of it. But it is more plausible theory would not publish his name, linked to a regime overthrown by the revolutionaries, we must remember that the minister González Bravo had been his friend and supporter. " Mastered Becquer Why French? '"Says Gustavo Adolfo Porras, was orphaned as a child, and was welcomed by her godmother, Manuela Monahay, French, based in Seville. The poet learned the language and from an early reading in French. In fact, his fascination with Romanticism comes in many of their early reading. "

Porras continues its research on Adoflo Gustavo Becquer because he believes that "probably written under another pseudonym", after his time at Toledo, he added, led the newspaper "The illustration of Madrid", and before he had worked also in similar publications. "I want to be very cautious with these claims," \u200b\u200badds the researcher, "I am convinced of his own, but for this I rely on intuition and knowledge of his work. However, other experts seconded these theories. "

"I hope these findings serve," he continues to be re-read Becquer, which remains a great unknown, and has an extraordinary work. Known his "Rimas" and its "Legends" but has other books, including "Letters from my cell," he wrote in the monastery of Veruela, which is a real gem. "

José Manuel Benítez presents "Benaocaz Diaries" Federico Moccia

LANDSCAPES THE SOUL OF BENITEZ ARIZA
Virginia León

Benaocaz Journal is not a statement of intent, but a declaration of love for a landscape of the soul. With these words about the public yesterday Manuel Borrás, publisher of the work, the essence of a book that will "eat the maturity of his poetry."

A poetic umbrella of all the good elements that must be equipped, he said. Sharp, with a sense of rhythm and a complicit silence. A work that restores the appearance of the world through your inner landscape. The José Manuel Benítez Ariza, before sailing the seas of his privacy, declined to explain why the Journal. And why Benaocaz, "for that I am here."

The journal is in reference to the format in which time unfolds for all his work, under his offer open daily blog on the Internet. "My novels and poems are not only prevalent in this diary entries," said the poet from Cadiz, who confirmed that he never liked the book format, adopting as their favorite word "books" in response to open perpetuating fantasy. This was conceived from his first flirtation with poetic creation 25 years ago, as spring has Book Fair.

De Benaocaz, where it is developed daily, and much of his life, said the rest. "Poetry can not be abstract because it must translate into a dialogue with the reality before us, a place that invites reflection," he said.

And Benaocaz has been and is the perfect setting. A place for the internalization of the sensations which now passes through this stage of his life. "This place has given me the conditions of life, silence, peace, friendships that needed," he said, in the presence of many friends in the mountain town, from which also moved its mayor.

of his work emphasized the communion of his own creative process in painting, which seems to have drunk more than lyrical sources themselves, in line with the great painter friends also based in Benaocaz. But he also spoke of the theme and structure of a book that abounds in the landscape, the eternal passage of time or love. Topical issues, but necessary, musically framed in a "contrapuntal" and organized according "to privacy."

Thus, the first part of the unifying themes that, broadly speaking, is shelled Benaocaz Journal, his work comes to rest, serenely in a second part, these spots specific to the details discussed between mystical, mysterious and far-reaching of the third, he explained.

also predicts this public confession, the direction will continue to dialogue with their reality closer, including landscapes of his soul.

Lupe Queen, a student at 2 º Bachillerato, started working with us to recommend the novels by Federico Moccia, one of the favorite authors for young audiences.

Although currently reading
ever going to have less importance in young people, reading, and especially girls, read love stories, as written by Federico Moccia, the author of four books with some success in Spain.

Federico Moccia is a writer who was born in Rome on November 10, 1963, the author of several successful novels, which in turn have been adapted to film: He worked previously as director and writer of TV shows to get success in the literary world.

In 1982 he directed his first film, Palla the center, but the lack of success had caused Moccia to write screenplays and directed several series.

In 1992 he wrote three meters above the sky , his first novel, which was rejected by several publishers and decided to pay a small edition at editorial Il Ventaglio.

But that book was also unsuccessful in 1996 wrote and directed the film Classe mista 3A and returned to the world of television. In 2004, twelve years after its first edition Three meters above the sky , was reissued, was a bestseller and even the story was adapted to film. The book, which received several awards, been translated into several languages \u200b\u200band published throughout Europe, Brazil and Japan.

published in 2006 I have wanted to t i sequel to the previous novel, which won so successful that it decided, again, into a film.

Something similar happened with right if I call you love (2007)

whose sequel is the book released in January years Sorry, but I want to marry you .

From my point of view, I think a writer is quite current, and that we, the youth could read, because it is a heavy book but on the contrary, about love between two adolescents but from our vocabulary. I recommend everyone who can, to read all the books by this author.

Specialized Crossroads White

Homenaje a Rafael Alberti

In addition to the celebration of World Book Day, the Reading and Library Plan and the DACE organized a tribute to the poet Rafael Alberti on Friday at the Auditorium of the Institute. Specially designed for students in 3 º ESO, but also attended some courses in 4 º ESO and 2 º Bachillerato.

The event was attended by a large number of students and some teachers who recited several poems in the book Marinero en tierra, one of which they are part of the route in the third grade reader . A simple act, but full of excitement and joy, which especially appreciate the difficulty facing a reading of this kind at a public event and also a large attendance. We say that our boys and girls were outstanding. Thanks all of them, reciting those who participated, and also all those others who attended the same respect and attention to the work of their peers, and learned to recognize through their applause.

addition
recited at the ceremony were projected some videos with Rafael Alberti's poems to music by different singers Jarcha, Rosa León, Pepa Flores and Paco Ibáñez, in addition to the versions performed live our fellow Pepe Arroyo , Francisco and Juan Antonio Traverso Verdi, the latter on guitar.

The event was presented by Francis Traverso with heartfelt words that we reproduce below:

"I left with a closed fist and come back with an open hand in sign of harmony among all the English."

This is the first sentence pronounced Rafael Alberti to get off the plane in 1977 after having suffered a long exile, first in Argentina and later in Italy, following the end of the War English Civil. This makes it a unique character of our recent history.

is true that the exile because of his affiliation with the Communist Party, marks its vital aspect in regard to their social concerns. It is also true that this sentence reflects an attitude that invites optimism and approach their work with an attitude of freedom and happiness. And in that sense, today we are gathered here to remember above all the poet and his work.

Rafael was born in Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz) in 1902. At fifteen he moved with his family to Madrid and his first book, Marinero en tierra (1924), for which he won with 23 years the National Book Award, reflects the homesick native, recalled from Madrid. The poems of this work is that mainly is recited today.

But also important to remember that during the last stage of the Franco era, the singers played an important role in the opposition. Some of them also carried a great job of popularizing classical and contemporary English poetry. In this dual role of folk artists dedicated to social protest and cultural dissemination include, among others, Paco Ibanez, music to gallop, what version today, and Joan Manuel Serrat, who composed a moving song with the poem "La Paloma" to listen too.

Rafael Alberti has filled the pages with their most important lines of contemporary poetry. Belonging to the legendary league as the 27 Generation group most poetic splendor of the twentieth century. Dawn of the Wallflower, On the Angels, Green and not see, A painting, Ora sea, the eyesore (theater) can be considered his most important works.

Teachers Project which consists of IES La Caleta reader is pleased to once again organize an event of this nature with motivaros pursued for reading and will bring a chance to enjoy the poetry of a countryman of fame.

We invite you once again for optimism, the pleasure of reading and therefore it serve you to be wiser, freer, happier.

JA Marina says pessimism now enjoys the intellectual prestige does not deserve. I can not agree more.

Francisco M. Traverso

Finally, we leave here some videos that we had a chance to enjoy during the event.

World Book Day

The Mexican poet José Emilio Pacheco

The celebration of April 23 as World Book Day is not a random choice. A April 23, 1616, by coincidences of fate, killed three great writers of world literature, Miguel de Cervantes, William Shakespeare and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega . It is, therefore, a date for a strong symbolic character, which is reinforced because an April 23 were born or died other important writers such as Vladimir Nabokov , Maurice Druon, Halldor K. Laxness, Josep Pla or Manuel Mejia Vallejo .

is also the great day of English literature, as it delivers the Cervantes Prize, the most important letters in our language, this year has fallen on the Mexican poet José Emilio Pacheco of whom can read a brief biography and some of his poems on the link above.

For our part, we did not want to miss this opportunity to recall at this time one of our great writers, Miguel Delibes , who died recently, and received the award earlier in the year 1994. We have prepared a modest booth at the entrance to our institute with works by Delibes that you can find in our library, and a mural with some of their selected pages, we hope you will encourage and invite their works known to those who still not to experience.

Javier knows the literary world because he works in a bookstore, because it reads a lot and it is documented very well to write his historical novels. So much so that at times has come to find historical documents and bibliographical interest.

Javier Castro (right) during a time of its intervention

The production revolves around Cadiz past has published two titles. The first, "Al-Sanam. The fall of the idol" on Muslim Cadiz, the second, "The Sea Devils. The Odyssey of Black Trick" on the Cadiz sailor and cosmopolitan of the eighteenth and early nineteenth . To mark the Day of Andalusia, began to prepare to celebrate this event with an enthusiasm known to all center colleagues, those wanting to work in a subject that is enriching, not only by the issue itself, but because we believe it is the best way for students to learn and appreciate our Andalusia and all it entails, by this approach through literature.

The selection of poems related to cities and monuments of each of the provinces of Andalusia, made it possible for us to do a tribute to our community on March 12, completing this unique art form with images.

They were there for the recitation of each of the poems by Ayla, Melanie Canto and Antonio Ruiz (4 º ESO). You see, I'm happy
with little or much that I have,
and I want nothing more
that people really, those
they were always
and were to support.

That now I do not cry,
and if I do it for happiness,
I am now happy
F
with happiness.

that part I am now indifferent
who just wants to enjoy
that girl
rebel who just wants to play.

Now I know what matters

And finally, the third selected by the jury, headed love you forever, Nerea A., 2 º ESO A:

Even my breath sighs

your name each time

If only

love you forever
is my goal,
feel safe and complete
leaving to focus
the strings of my puppet.

If love is sin

rather than lose

Blogs winners to encourage reading

The Journal of Jerez today, José García Oliva published an article recognizing the potential of blogs as Forna to encourage reading and hard work that we do. Between blogs and readers citing plans is ours, so from here we want to thank you for the recognition of both our business or that of many other colleagues other centers, of whom we learn something new every day.

then reproduce the entire story.

"E l Reading and Library Plan of the Ministry of Education of the Junta de Andalucía, has generated a lot of player movement in the centers that are being developed. On the one hand by the original economic provisions renewed funds in many centers as well as other materials, and secondly because it involved many teachers have been working on the issue, and also, as a result of this, because it has led to collective dynamics also involve teachers and families and levels are rising reading in schools and beyond.

One way of intervention, collaboration and entertainment are being what for some were the enemy of reading: the computing resources. Make web-quest "before, during or after the readings, supplement and contextualize works, get in touch with other readers of the same titles, including authors, no doubt ... And the blogs have been created in many centers and they are portals, storefronts, working and reading rooms.

appear in these books discussed blogs, reviews of activities, interviews, new arrivals at the library, images in different presentations (galleries, videos, "slide"), songs in audio and / or video to hear along with the lyrics of these songs and poems to read.

In the town of Barbate draws attention to the draft joint blog of all places, "reads Barbate", in which there are many partnerships of schools and colleges providing texts produced by students. There is also a developing novel to read chapter by chapter, also own production.

A good advantage of these blogs are the links, as well as lead to sites of interest, to connect some other blogs "Copying healthy" ideas, as with the game of "paragraph found" born in the IES Caleta.

are also a good opportunity to compete, as we found in almost all: the bookmarks, the mascot of the library, stories and poems ... and of course the celebration of Peace Day, in Andalusia,., which each holds in his own way: a review related books, chronicling events at the center or the city, putting special links ...

addresses the different posts could be provided for those interested in Educational Management in Delegation Provincial Plan for the charge of L and B. I leave http://biblioalmunia.blog spot.com /, the IES Almunia, one of my favorites because of the developments that have had and the good update (which is essential). "

700,000 euros for a manuscript of Lope de Vega

The 532 pages of 'Codex Daza' , the only one located in the three drafts of manuscripts that are Lope de Vega, will be digitized in one month and then begin the restoration of this jewel literature The most important acquisition of the National Library in four decades.

The codex is really a portfolio that meets inside many booklets in which the letters written between 1631 and 1634 poetry, especially Eclogues (some unpublished), and fragments of known works, published while with variations.

Despite his "inestimable literary value, as has secured the National Library director Milagros del Corral, the manuscript itself has had a physical price: 700,000 euros paid with the support of the Ministry of Culture an individual whose name has not been disclosed.

This figure "highly advantageous in this context of crisis," said Del Corral.

The owners of the 'Codex Daza' wanted him out of Spain to be auctioned in London in 2004, but the State exercised its right of first refusal and, after examining the dossier, denied leave out of the country.

The person who entered the draft of Lope de Vega to issue this report was the director of Heritage Journal of the National Library, Teresa Mosque, who said that was "stunned" when he first saw time, because "it was, unmistakably, the letter of Lope and contained some works of incredible importance."

who was called 'Phoenix of Wits' by Cervantes wrote the contents of the 'Codex Daza' when I was almost a septuagenarian who is piled the misery and loneliness: in this period were killed last of his great love, Marta de Nevares, and his son Lope Félix, while the most beloved of his daughters, Antonia Clara, was kidnapped by a nobleman named Tenorio.

Tanta misery has been reflected on the specifications of the 'Codex Daza "in the words of the playwright, whose lines lose the pages neatly as they progress, but especially in his poems, which exude a melancholy tone.

the disorderly way in which poetry and works succeed in this draft or its various amendments and confirm the studs disorderly manner in which he worked the prolific Lope de Vega, who could write up to 1,800 works from which we received 400.

Once safely in the National Library begins now for the 'Codex Daza "an arduous process of restoring , though you will be digitized for researchers and readers to study it soon.

The external structure of the binder is deformed by a "misplaced" and will be consolidated inks and the most damaged areas of the paper to avoid dislodging the script, explained the restoration of the National Library Amelia Right.

The laid paper forming booklet is very good quality, because at that time the paper was made from rags, but the ink used at that time ferrogámica is too aggressive for the role and over time it erodes, said.

When restored, the draft manuscript will be scanned again, and then rest in the vault National Library, with other valuable overlooked as the Song of the Cid and Codices of Leonardo Da Vinci .

director of the institution has ensured that despite the four centuries old that has the 'Codex Daza' is possible to trace their Lope come since you compiled to date.
